So YouTube CEO has come out to apologize for the rage and frustration they caused to creators after notifying them that they were gonna be losing their verification checkmarks.
This week after YouTube said it was changing the criteria for channels to be verified on YouTube, YouTubers took to social media posting screenshots of the email YouTube sent to them saying they no longer met the criteria to get a checkmark and that they were gonna be losing it the next month.
But on Friday YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki wrote on Twitter that all channels with the verified checkmark can keep theirs.
But she stated the new criteria saying that a verified channel must have over 100,000 subscribers and the channel must be “authentic” and “complete“.
YouTube in recent time have suffered “creator-on-creator” harassment and this is just one of the policies it is using to tighten it verification criteria.
