After a long and competitive year so far, Game streaming service Twitch, has no other choice but to begin dishing out lots of cash to retain some of it top personalities.
In a recent announcement, some of the top streamers on the platform which included Benjamin “DrLupo” Lupo and Saqib “LIRIK” Zahid, said they are gonna remain on the platform while signing a multi-year content contract.
Although no specific amount of how much the contracts was worth but according to Slasher, an esports consultant, the contract was in “the millions of dollars per year.”
As we all know, Twitch is still by far the largest streaming platform available, even though some other platforms like Mixer and Facebook Gaming are starting to gain some popularity.
Also it no big news anymore as most of us are aware that top streamer Tyler Ninja moved to Microsoft’s Mixer and has since then cost Twitch some of it users.
