So we’ve seen smart watches, smart homes, and a lot of other smart gadgets. But this one is an odd one, yes I’m talking about a smart garbage can called the SmartCan.
First it was smart cars, now it smart bins
The SmartCan is simply just an automated trashcan that automatically drives itself to the curb for you when you forget it tr ash day.
The new technology which was invented by Andrew Murray and is currently in development at his company, Resi, is said to be one of those tech that actually has genuine use in the domestic home.
This is gonna be a huge advantage for those of us who are tasked with always dragging our garbage cans to the curb every week. Now with just an app, the SmartCan is gonna be following a pre-programmed schedule and automatically drive itself to the curb for pickup.(sweet)
After the the SmartCan has been emptied, it automatically again returns to it original position where you kept it. (Isn’t that just freaking awesome)
The only problem with the SmartCan right now is the fact that it relies on a pair of docking stations for navigation and this could be a huge problem for people living in areas where the city won’t allow such installations on the public curb.
Right now no price has been placed for this SmartCan but if it should be around a few hundred dollars then we’re sure gonna care for this things more than our cars.
