As we all know, 2020’s CES event was held online due to the corona-virus pandemic (Yes I know, sadly). The decision crumbled most journalists to the ground because for goodness sake, how can you possibly hold a showcase event online? Truth be told, it wasn’t the best CES event in a long while. But today, the Consumer Technology Association announced that CES 2022 will be the comeback as it will return to Las Vegas on Jan. 5-8, 2022.
Now just to show you how most companies are foreshadowed about the return, over 1,000 have “committed” to exhibiting in Las Vegas, with more and more of them still signing up. Some of the listed brands that have been confirmed to be returning include LG Electronics, Google, Amazon, Pan asonic, Samsung
CTA also confirmed that it would be reviewing CDC safety guidelines as well as federal, state, and local laws. According to Gary Shapiro who is the CEO and president of CTA, He said: “We’re thrilled to return to Las Vegas—home to CES for more than 40 years—and look forward to seeing many new and returning faces.” He continued by saying that “Hundreds of executives have told us how much they need CES to meet new and existing customers, find partners, reach media and discover innovation.”
Yes yes, the virtual CES didn’t actually provide us with the usual hands-on review of new gadgets and the networking opportunities like it used to, but let look on the bright side for a little while. Most of us came to realize that we could actually attend meetings while in our pajamas, and also top tech companies kinda realized the importance of working remotely.
