Seeing the massive growth of FaceMash, Mark Zuckerberg took the bold step and decided to drop out of Harvard to build his empire. Well luckily for him after some turns here and there with some claiming to own the idea and all that, FaceMash which now known as Facebook has grown to be the biggest Social network in the world with more than 2 billion people registered.
Jack Dorsey is the brains behind another huge social platform, Twitter. Jack Dorsey dropped out of NYU to also build Twitter which was criticized by many back then.
Now Twitter has become a platform for everyone from celebrities to Tycoons to even Presidents.
He dropped out of college to build Napster and also went on to put his hacking skills to good use by working for some big companies.
Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard in his second year to grow Microsoft into what it is right now. Together with his wife Melinda Gates, they now run the biggest privately owned charity organization in the world, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
Larry Ellison is the man behind the famous software Oracle. When Larry Ellison was a student his mother passed away, after her passing he dropped out and went to work from one job to another before finally learning programming and building the Oracle software.
He studied biology at the University of Texas but knowing that computers were his true calling, Michael dropped out to begin building and selling computers and later on founded the Dell Computer Corporation.
