So today has been all about apple’s big event and it wasn’t long before we saw celebrities like Steven Spielberg, Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston coming in to talk about the shows they’re making for the new TV+ service.
But they saved the best for last when they finally brought up oprah Winfrey. Remember last year the i-Giants announced it had signed “a unique, multi-year content partnership” with Winfrey. That announcement, however, didn’t include any details about the programs she’d be making.
As you would expect, Winfrey described two documentaries today. First, there’s “Toxic Labor,” looking at the effects of sexual harassment in the workplace. There’s also an untitled, multi-part documentary about mental health.
She also said she was working on a new version of her book in partnership with apple. She said the new book club was gonna be “the biggest, most vibrant, the most stimulating book club on the planet.” and also her interviews with authors can be streamed to Apple stores and devices around the world.
Oprah showed that she was really ecxited working with apple( though…who wouldn’t), when she said “They’re in a billion pockets, y’all. A billion pockets.” we should sure be expecting a lot from this new apple partnerships and developments.
