Nickelodeon and Netflix have just announced that they are partnering together to create original animated contents for the Nickelodeon film organization.
The two companies have been known to work in the past to produce some very good cartoons like “Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus and Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling.” They even said that they are working on a live-action Avatar series.
I know the question many people might be asking is why Viacom-owned Nickelodeon would wanna partner with Netflix?
Just so you know, Viacom has it own streaming service and are even planning on merging with CBS which also have their own streaming service.
Well no one knows why they decided to go with Netflix but rumors has it that it might be because Netflix is funding a huge percentage of the cost of production.
As we all know, Nickelodeon is working on some couple of series like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot and Blue’s Clue remake. Also this collaboration is sort of coming at a good time as this would challenge Disney+, which coincidentally just launched the day before the partnership deal.
