But one of these companies trying to help address that issue is Lime, as they have figured out a way to help both parties.
Lime just recently launched a pilot at San Jose, and what it does is that it uses accelerometer and other data gotten from a rider to know if you’re riding on a sidewalk or on the streets.
If their AI finds out that you have half or more than half of your ride took place on the sidewalk, it would send you a notification asking you to try out the streets sometimes.
Although it not so much if you ask me because you can’t really force a rider to use the streets, but it better to do something small than do nothing at all.
Lime also said that they’re are gonna be sharing their data with the city officials to help them in infrastructural development like building more bike Lanes.
