Lenovo is about to do a major comeback to the high-end smartphone market with its extraordinary flagship gaming phone. It is with great pleasure that they finally announced a release date for the high-end beast which is called the “Lenovo Legion Phone”.
July 22 is the date set for the release, but this is only in China for now. The release date for other markets will be announced as soon as available.
With all things being equal, the Lenovo Legion will be among the first devices to use this chipset alongside the Asus ROG Phone 3 which coincidentally will be released on the same day.
So let talk a bit techy here, the prime core of the Snapdragon 865 Plus clocks at 3.09GHz, with three gold cores at 2.42GHz, and four silver cores clocking at 1.8GHz alongside an Adreno 650 GPU.
Ok so for those who don’t understand all that tech gibberish, here is what it simply saying: it gives you a faster GPU, CPU, and an incredibly faster WiFi speed which makes apps and games load faster.
Another mind-blowing feature about the Lenovo Legion Phone is 16GB of RAM, yes 16GB, and a 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. If this launch is successful it going to make the Lenovo Legion the first device to use a 16GB RAM.
That not all, rumors also have it that the phone will feature a side pop-up camera which is quite weird and unusual if you ask me. There’s also a double front-blasting speaker, a cooling tower, and pipes to keep the gaming device at optimal temperature during gaming.
So far all these are just expectations, it’ll all become clearer after the launch and how long they’ll remain on devices.
