Doubtnut which is a two-year old startup has raised a total of $18.5 million till date and with this their latest funding round, they are now valued at around $50 million.
So what exactly does this app do? Well what Doubtnut does is that it helps six graders and high-school and students understand math and science problems by using local languages.
How it works is that students take a picture of their math or science problem using the Doubtnut app, then the app uses Machine Learning to deliver their answers using a short-video.
According to Tanushree Nagori who is the Co-founder of the startup, she said that Doubtnut has experienced over 13 million monthly active users across it app, website, YouTube and WhatsApp.
According to Tanushree”Doubtnut is truly democratizing education across India. Our user base reflects the entire demography of India, something which no other education app in the country has come close to achieving.”
We have seen a couple of India startups try to solve problems in the educational sector, the likes of Byju, Vedanutu, Unacademy and GradeUp.
