Google earlier this month announced that they were rolling out the incognito mode feature for their Google Maps, well now the feature is also available for android users.
Although not yet available for iPhone users, android users can activate this feature by following the simple steps below:
- Launch the Google Maps app
*Click on your profile picture
* Then click on “Turn on Incognito mode”
And just like that you’re gonna go hacker mode with no footprint of your online navigation activity. Well just to burst your bubbles, you don’t completely go anonymous when you activate this feature.
When you’re in incognito mode, your search history and location history won’t be saved. Also your information won’t be used to enhance your experience.
Aside those features mentioned, some location apps and your internet service providers can still track your every movement. (So you’re not going completely hacker mode)
