So during a media event in New York on Wednesday, Huawei senior Vice President Vincent Yang said that even as the telecom giants bosts of the power of their new creation, the HarmonyOS, the company isn’t planning on using it (HarmonyOS) anytime soon.
They said that the HarmonyOS is more like a plan B or a fail safe just in case the US and Google decides to fully ban them from using their Android operating system.
According to Huawei, the HarmonyOS is a more cleaner and better operating system than Android because it has fewer lines of code to power smart products like Tvs, watches and cars.
Yang also made it clear that their new flagship phone, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro would run on Android, unless the US decides to do otherwise then they will be forced to use their HarmonyOS.
