Since 2015, Google has been battling with the case which was filed against them which claims that the company refused giving 227 persons job in the company due to their age.
The first case filed against the search giants was by one Robert Heath. According to Heath, during an interview session for a position at the company, the person incharge of recruiting Said he was the “great candidate”.
But later during a phone conversation with a Google engineer, the engineer assumed the word “byte” meant eight bits which clearly shows the age discrimination.
Although the whole agreement is still awaiting the approval by the judge incharge of the case. when settled, Google is said to pay a whooping $11 million to compensate all the 227 people.
