Even after increasing the number of staffs by double, the employees said they are having a culture of extreme working conditions that looks like it never ends. (Though… you work for the company that makes the no.1 game in the world, what were you expecting)
According to one employee “i hardly sleep. I’m grumpy at home. I have no energy to go out. Getting a weekend away from work is a major achievement.”
They say the company does not even give them enough time off and that even if they eventually leave, the workload falls on the other people which isn’t so nice.
According to another employee “I work an average of 70 hours a week(ok truth be told, that a lot). There’s probably at least 50 or even 100 other people at Epic working those hours. I know people who pull 100-hour week.”
But Epic games in their defense said that salaries and benefits the employees receive is enough to compensate for all that time of work.
