So Epic games, the creators of fortnite is set to acquire Psyonix, the company behind the hit football game”Rocket league” which boasts of an insane 50 million registered users.
After Fortnite, Rocket league was the second game that let it users on Xbox, PlayStation 4, Nintendo switch, an PC all play together online.
In a statement by Psyonix founder Dave Hagewood, he said “we’ve been working closely with Epic since the early days of ‘Unreal Tournament’, and we’ve survived changing tides as partners, so combining forces make sense in many ways. The potential of what we can learn from each other and accomplish together makes us truly excited for the future.”
But don’t worry, players of Rocket league would still be able to play the game even after it transitions to Epic games.
