At around 16:00 GMT on Monday, October 4, a massive lot of smartphone users were all left dumbfounded as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp all went down. It can be recalled that this is the second time the Facebook inc services is going down in 2021.
WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Down
At first it seems like a telecom issue but as the problem lasted, smartphone users began worrying. I can bet you most people restarted their devices, checked their internet, and some even testing out Google.
As it lasted we realized it a Facebook problem with people posting on other socials asking if anyone was able to access the Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp.
We were all left with no other option but to go primitive like making normal phone calls, and reading the papers. (I Know, that so primitive right!!)
In his words, Mark Zuckerberg said ” Sorry for the disruption today. I know how much you rely on our services to stay connected with the people you care about.” (That all he had to say? I read the newspaper Mark!!)
Now whether the tech billionaire actually lost $6 billion or not is quite not important right now. What we should concern ourselves with is the amount of power it goes to show the American tech boss controls.
Now the above is just for Facebook, Instagram on the other hand is valued at $100 billion with 1.3 billion monthly users.
We all know of how Mark Zuckerberg acquired WhatsApp for a mind blowing $1billion which at that time was the most expensive. The popular messenger app is valued at $5 billion with 1.6 billion monthly users.
