Elon Musk Now Worth More Than Bill Gates

Elon Musk was able to claim the crown from Gates after Tesla saw a massive surge in shares which threw him from $7.2bn to $127.9bn (talk about a huge leap ha).

Recall back in January Elon Musk was ranked 35th richest in the world, now fast-forward to November with almost $100bn more he has outranked every single individual on the Bloomberg Billionaires index.

Right now Jeff Bezos is the only billionaire above the CEO of the electric car company.

Tesla saw this huge jump in shares after the company was accepted to join the S&P 500 index of the leading US companies. After the incident Tesla’s market value rose to a whopping $500bn.

Now it is worth knowing that if Tesla’s share price keeps on soaring this way, we could just see Elon Musk bag a bonus deal worth a massive $55.8bn.

Right now it no big news that Tesla has the highest market value of any car company in the world, even though they produce fewer cars than others.

As we might all know, Elon Musk is not only involved in electric cars, he is also the founder of spacecraft company SpaceX. And just last week SpaceX successfully sent four astronauts to the international Space Station via it Falcon rocket in partnership with NASA.

They also recently reported that they are soon gonna be launching 60 broadband internet satellites into orbit.

Microsoft’s founder Bill Gates held the No.1 position for the world’s richest for quite some while before being knocked out in 2017 by Amazon boss, Jeff Bezos.

Bill Gates is currently worth $127.7bn and would have been worth higher if he had not donated most of his money to charity.

It is worth knowing that Bill Gates has given away (pardon, donated) well over $50bn to help fight diseases and minimize poverty.

Despite the current pandemic going on in the world which has caused many businesses and entities to close down, companies listed on Bloomberg index has been having themselves a good year.

Fact: Altogether, companies listed on the Bloomberg index made $1.3tn(that trillion) since January.

Right now we have Jeff Bezos at No.1 then Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Bernard Arnault and then Mark Zuckerberg.
