AT&T already have 5G service in 19 cities, yet no phone can use it.

So first it was Edge, then we moved on to the better 3G, it stayed around for a while then we, migrated to the faster 4G network, which was quite interesting too and it also hung around for a while.

Now we are all getting sick and tired of the 4G and want more as always, and telecom giants are also not hesitating to feed our expectations.

“5G”, that what next, with data speeds of more than what we can ever imagined, the 5G is coming bigger and better with lightening speed data transfer rates.🌐

While telecom giants are also racing themselves to be the first to deliver the network, AT&T are boasting of 19 cities with 5G service but here is the dig, they boast of 19 cities (yes no arguments) yet it is reported that no smartphone is capable of 5G right now. 🙍📲

Well before we begin throwing stones and smile at the telecom giant they do have a 5G service, “well something like that”. AT&T are said to have a Mobile hotspot it provides but it can’t be purchased in stores.😧😝

As at right now there are only two 5G smartphones that will be available to customers in the US this year and that the Verizon-exclusive and the Samsung Galaxy S10, the Galaxy fold was suppose to be on the list but no carrier announcement has been made yet for it. A release date haven’t been announced yet for the S10 and Verizon but what we know is that it gonna be available this year.

In a press release by AT&T, they said that “There are now 19 cities across the nation where AT&T is the only carrier to offer mobile 5G service to businesses and consumers, well ahead of our competition.”

They are also assuring their customers that they would get access to the 5G variant of the S10 later this spring. They also said that they are gonna be access to the 5G service for another Samsung smartphone later this year.

The only device that has access to AT&T 5G is the Netgear Nighthawk 5G hotspot. And it not available to everybody, only a selected business partners and somecustomers.

Not to kill your expectations but before we would get access to a proper 5G with smartphones carrying proper 5G modems, we would have to wait another couple of years.😢😭
