So Wing, as we all know is a drone startup under parent company Alphabet. Well guess what? They’ve just gotten approval by the Federal Aviation Administration “FAA”, to make deliveries in the US.
They are also gonna be the first drone startup to get the FAA approval to do such commercial deliveries.
Gaining the FAA approval means they must have gone through and passed a number of rigorous tests, which also included lots of train ing routines.
The drone startup have told Virginia to get ready, cause in the coming months, they plan on delivering goods from local businesses to communities in Blacksburg and Christianburg.
The FAA approval isn’t the only approval they got, they are reported to have also gotten approval from CASA, an Australian regulator. They gained thier approval after concluding an 18-months trial which involved 3,000 deliveries.
I guess very soon we should be seeing more of such startups coming into the businesses now that the regulators have worked out which airline rules are appropriate for drone operators.
They are soon also gonna be having some really top competitors likes of Amazon’s prime.
